महाराणा के हाथी की कहानी

आज भारत के पहले national हीरो महाराणा प्रताप की पुण्यतिथि है। मित्रो आप सब ने महाराणा प्रताप के घोंड़े चेतक के बारे में तो सुना ही होगा, लेकिन उनका एक हाथी था। जिसका नाम था रामप्रसाद उसके बारे में
आपको कुछ बाते बताता हु।

रामप्रसाद हाथी का उल्लेख अल बदायुनी ने
जो मुगलों की ओर से हल्दीघाटी के युद्ध में लड़ा था ने अपने एक ग्रन्थ में कीया है। वो लिखता है की जब महाराणा पर अकबर ने चढाई की थी तब उसने दो चीजो की ही बंदी बनाने की मांग की थी एक तो खुद महाराणा और दूसरा उनका हाथी रामप्रसाद।

आगे अल बदायुनी लिखता है की वो हाथी इतना समजदार व ताकतवर था की उसने हल्दीघाटी के युद्ध में अकेली ही अकबर के 13
हाथियों को मार गिराया था और वो लिखता है : उस हाथी को पकड़ने के लिए हमने 7 हाथियों का एक चक्रव्यू बनाया और उन पर 14 महावतो को बिठाया तब कही जाके उसे बंदी बना पाये।

अब सुनिए एक भारतीय जानवर
की स्वामी भक्ति।
उस हाथी को अकबर के समक्ष पेश किया गया जहा अकबर ने उसका नाम पीरप्रसाद रखा। रामप्रसाद को मुगलों ने गन्ने और पानी दिया। पर उस स्वामिभक्त हाथी ने 18 दिन तक मुगलों का न दाना खाया और न पानी पीया और वो शहीद हो गया तब अकबर ने कहा था कि;- जिसके हाथी को मै मेरे सामने नहीं झुका पाया उस महाराणा प्रताप को क्या झुका पाउँगा।

ऐसे ऐसे देशभक्त चेतक व रामप्रसाद जैसे
तो यहाँ जानवर थे। इसलिए मित्रो हमेशा अपने भारतीय होने पे गर्व करो।

LUNCH WITH GOD!

A little boy wanted to meet God! He packed his suitcase with two sets of his dress and some packets of cakes! He started his journey, he walked a long distance and found a park! He was feeling tired, so, he decided to sit in the park and take some refreshment! He opened a packet of cake to eat!

He noticed an old woman sitting nearby, sad with hunger, so he offered her a piece of cake!

She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him! Her smile was so pretty that the boy longed to see it again! After sometime he offered her another piece of cake! Again, she accepted it and smiled at him! The boy was delighted!

They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but never said a word! While it grew dark, the boy was frightened and he got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave the woman a hug and she kissed him with her prettiest smile!

Back home, when the boy knocked the door, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face!

She asked him, "What did you do today that makes you look so happy?"

He replied, "I had lunch with God!"

Before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen in my life!"

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home! Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and asked, "Mom, what did you do today that made you so happy?"

She replied, "I ate cakes in the park with God!"

Before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected!"

Too often we underestimate the power of;
a touch,
a smile,
a kind word,
a listening ear,
an honest compliment,
or
the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential to turn a life around!

Remember, nobody knows how God will look like! People come into our lives for a reason, for a season or for a lifetime!

Accept all of them equally.. .. ..

The annual Lohri celebrations witness young children going from door to door, singing songs in praise of Dulha Bhatti and getting sweets or little goodies or even money. The practice has associated Dulla Bhatti with Lohri in such a manner that the man is often said to be reason for Lohri celebrations.

But who is Dulla Bhatti and how did he come to be associated to the Lohri festivities?

The legend of Dulla Bhatti is much popular in the North Indian states. Dulla Bhatti was an actual historical character. This legendary Rajput muslim hero of Punjab was born as Rai Abdullah Khan Bhatti and was raised along with Salim, the son of Emperor Akbar. In his later years, Dulla became a rebel when he came to know how the Emperor had executed his father and grandfather. With the assistance of Prince Salim himself, Dulla succeeded in putting up a strong fight against Emperor Akbar but was ultimately caught and executed due to unavoidable circumstances. Many legends are associated with this brave rebel and many of these tales mention of him as a robber in his early years when he used to plunder the rich to assist the poor with the looted money. According to one legend, Dulla had on a man's request saved the prestige of his innocent beautiful girl who was to be forcibly taken away by Mughal officials to their harem. He arranged her marriage with a young Hindu boy in his jungle fort at Rakh (a place lying between Gujaranwala and Sialkot). Acting as her father, he gave the girl a kilo of sugar as her wedding present. In the absence of a priest, Dulla himself lit the sacred fire to complete the Hindu marriage. But he did not know the holy verses to be chanted and hence, sang a hilarious song that added merriment to an otherwise serious occassion.

सहनशक्ति सबसे बड़ा गुण है

एक सिंह और एक चीता एक साथ बैठे हुए थे I कुछ देर बाद उनके पास से एक गधा गुजरा, उसने सिंह से कहा, 'आओ मेरे साथ लड़ लो...!' सिंह ने उसकी ओर देखा तक नहीं I दूसरी बार गधे ने बड़े रुआब से कहा, 'यदि तुम्हें लड़ना हो तो मेरे सामने आओ...!' सिंह ने फिर भी कुछ न कहा और शांत बैठा रहा I गधा वहाँ से आगे बढ़ गया I थोड़ी देर के बाद गधा पुनः आया और चेतावनी भरे स्वर में बोला, 'देखो, आखिरी बार कह देता हूँ कि तुम्हें यदि लड़ना है, तो मेरे सामने मैदान में आ जाओ...!' लेकिन सिंह ने गधे की ओर देखा तक नहीं और गधा वहाँ से चला गया I उसके जाने के बाद चीते ने सिंह से कहा, 'मित्र!  यह गधा, तुम्हारे बाँए पंजे की खुराक है, लेकिन तुमने इतना सब कुछ सहन क्यों किया ?' सिंह ने कहा, 'यदि उसे मारना ही होता तो मैं एक मिनट में उसका काम तमाम कर देता, लेकिन लोक में इस बात की हँसी होती कि सिंह और गधे में युद्ध हुआ, जिसमें सिंह ने गधे को मार डाला ! इसमें मेरी कोई सभ्यता तो थी ही नहीं, इससे मेरी कोई बड़ाई भी न थी I इसलिए ऐसी दशा में मौन रहना ही उचित है I'

इसलिए सहनशीलता को विवशता के रूप में नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए I यह तो एक प्रकार की शूरवीरता है तथा जो बाद में सम्मान का कारण भी बनती है I
